This course seeks to identify and define, investigate, and promote the development of human strengths, growth, and potential. This First Year Initiative seminar will examine the history, theories, methodology, and research findings in the subfield of positive psychology, and it will challenge students to apply what they have learned in class toward personal or social change. |
Essential Capabilities:
Speaking, Writing Writing: weekly response papers or personal blogs; term paper. Speaking: short oral presentations; regular small group discussion.
