Major Readings: Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore
Readings will be from recently Japanese language scholarship related to the readings assigned from the standard English CEAS266. If desired, students will be given opportunities to read primary sources (komonjo) used in the weekly readings.

Examinations and Assignments: Classroom presentations; one writing assignment The students are expected to orally present weekly readings, participate in discussions, and produce one paper. Evaluation will be based on individual students' language background. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Students who wish to sign up for this course should either be enrolled in the seminar, or consult the instructor to see whether they have sufficient background.
Both advanced Japanese learners (currently enrolled in, or already completed, 4th-year Japanese) and native speakers of Japanese are welcome. |
