|
Crosslisting:
CGST 227, WRCT 277 |
This course will be both an examination of the short story form in Latin American letters, a genre that has been crucial to the region's intellectual traditions and its ruptures, and a deep exploration of the act of writing short fiction in Spanish. By examining diverse aspects of the craft of fiction writing, and through a discussion of their own writing and that of their peers, students will search for their (multilingual) voice to explore some of their philosophical, affective and linguistic concerns, become stronger writers and storytellers and improve their skills in Spanish. They will also familiarize themselves with some of the most captivating fiction produced by Latin American and Latinx short story writers over a century. |
