Course Cluster and Certificates: Writing Certificate |
In this special topics fiction course we will experiment with forms, realities, and language in order to open new paths to writing fiction. We will add dimension to our own fiction writing by venturing into other literary genres such as poetry and drama. The goal is to "stretch" while learning from literary examples and ideas past and present. |

Examinations and Assignments: Assignments include intensive participation in discussion, numerous short exercises, and the revision of one exercise into a complete short story. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Only one creative writing course per semester. This course contributes to the Creative Writing--Special Topics, and Theory & Literary Forms concentrations of the Enlgish major. |
