The Indian film industry remains an exceptional industry, holding its own against Hollywood's expansion into markets like India. This course will provide a historical and thematic introduction to Indian cinema, with a particular focus on Bombay cinema or Hindi-Urdu-language popular Indian cinema that constitutes Indian national cinema. |
