This seminar introduces students to the exciting and diverse research conducted within the physics department. Faculty members from various research areas will give talks showcasing their work, providing insight into both fundamental and applied physics. The goal is to help students explore different research topics, understand what physics research entails, and discover potential opportunities to get involved in faculty-led projects. This seminar is open to all students with an interest in physics who are curious about research, but have not yet chosen a specific focus, particularly first- and second-year students and also graduate students in their first year of study. The course is structured as a series of faculty presentations, followed by discussions where students can engage with researchers, ask questions, and explore potential research pathways. |
