Additional Requirements and/or Comments: This course is for remote students only. If a student is on-campus, they should enroll in MB&B 191. MB&B 191/193 is usually taken concurrently with MB&B 181; however, students must sign up for MB&B 191/193 and MB&B 181 separately. The course is graded on a Credit/Unsatisfactory basis for all students. To receive credit for the course, students must complete all lab exercises and written assignments at a satisfactory level. This course will consist of lab-related online experiences. It will meet approximately every other week during the semester. Please note that this is a 0.25 credit course; MB&B 191 is worth 0.5 credits. This course will fulfill the requirement of MB&B 191 for the Biology, MB&B, and NS&B majors. However, students who take this section and go on to pursue a major in Biology, MB&B, or NS&B will need to take an additional 0.25 credit course later in their undergraduate career in order to fulfill the credit requirements of the major. The additional 0.25 credit course requirement could be fulfilled by taking MB&B 338 (Biology and MB&B Symposium I), MB&B 209 (Research Frontiers in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry), or by completing research for credit in a faculty research lab at Wesleyan. |
