The Community Impact Residency brings together Wesleyan students interested in the practice of civic and community engagement. Enrollees engage a cross-section of community stakeholders -- local and nonprofit leaders, resident-led groups, and municipal governments -- as they support work that engages communities around the Jewett Center's focus areas and enlist student volunteers on behalf of this work. Enrollees must be hosted by a preapproved community partner, attend bi-weekly check-in with a JCCP advisory, attend monthly resident meetings, and submit reporting data at the end of the semester. |
