How do humans develop the capacity to learn? This course will focus on the dynamic influence of the cognitive, social emotional, and demographic factors involved in this process, using a research-based framework. Students will be encouraged to evaluate the learning process throughout K-12 educational settings, learn to critique research in the learning sciences, and evaluate usefulness of research in different learning settings. This course fulfills the Category 1 requirement for the Education Studies Major and Minor. |
