This studio introduces students to full-scale design and construction through the production of a single, collaborative project over the course of the semester. Working from land-based research and precedent analysis, students develop a detailed design for a structure on a specific site in Connecticut, then build it together in the field. Materials will be sourced from the northern hardwood forest and the design crafted to suit its ecosystem. |
