The course is replacing CSPL128 (Intro to HR Standards) as the prerequisite within the Human Rights Advocacy Minor. It provides an overview of the philosophical, legal, and institutional architecture in the field of human rights. Sessions will consider the norms, treaties, and other international instruments, oversight mechanisms, and political dimensions of human rights. This course serves as a mandatory pre-requisite for both the Human Rights Advocacy Seminar and the Human Rights Advocacy Minor, and is open to all Wesleyan students. |
