This is a writing course and study of the short film that will start from ground zero: separating the screenplay from other forms (e.g., the play and the novel), and grounding students in visual language as the basis of the medium. How do we write in pictures? We will study short films in class and students will be expected to submit regular writing assignments in service of developing their own short screenplay. |
