Fall 2025
Section: 01   02   03   04   05   06

This accelerated, one-semester course in general chemistry is designed for science majors and pre-medical students who have advanced academic preparation, especially honors/AP/IB/A-Level chemistry courses. Eligible students interested in the CHEM, MB&B, and NS&B majors are strongly encouraged to choose this option as the best preparation for further study. The course provides a rigorous introduction to the fundamental principles of chemistry, including atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, states of matter, solutions, kinetics, equilibrium, acids and bases, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry. This one-semester honors course serves as an alternative to the CHEM 141/142 sequence for all course prerequisites, as well as major/minor and pre-medical/pre-health requirements.
