In this course, beginning students will learn the fundamental technical exercises of Vina performance and develop an understanding of phrase formation. The lute-type Vina is among the oldest and most revered instruments in South Indian music. Advanced classes will continue this training through more complex lessons and sustained practice in a variety of talas. |
