Today's financial markets and financial institutions are more globally integrated than ever. This course will explore the structure and evolution of financial markets, financial instruments, and financial institutions, all through a global lens. The course covers financial intermediaries in detail, including investment management firms and central banks. Additional topics to be explored including financial crises and the increasing importance of private markets (alternatives).
