This .25 course will gather students interested in speaking Haitian Creole and discussing Haitian culture, migration, and differences and friction between first- and second-generation Haitian Americans. We will look at music, comedy, cuisine, religion, social media, and any other topics of interest to students. Students with little Creole to those fluent are welcome. We will aim to speak in Kreyòl during meetings. Students with familiarity in other French Caribbean Creoles (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Dominica, St. Lucia, etc) are welcome to join. |
