This is a comprehensive introductory course to the methods and aesthetics of film-based and digital photography. The topics of study will include evaluating negatives and prints, developing film, photoshop techniques, printing, reading light, visualization, photographic design, and history of photography.

Interviews for this class will be held in the Photo classroom above the old Art Library on Wednesday, November 12 from 4--8. Please submit a POI request before interviews.
Students must provide their own digital camera with a minimum resolution of 8 megapixels (a digital single lens reflex camera is strongly recommended. For more info please contact the instructor.) Film cameras will be provided by the department.
