Individual and group assignments include creative projects in movement and in other art forms presented to the class as a whole. The culminating exercise of this course requires that students design, create and realize a small group dances to be performed in the Worlds of Dance Concert. Interpretation- Through a broad range of readings encompassing historical, social, political, ethnographic and somatic perspectives, and the viewing of both live and pre-recorded dance concerts, students will develop multiple frameworks for defining and interpreting dance.
