This class will focus on the process of making a dance. Skills in movement observation and creative decision making will be developed with regard to all the necessary technical aspects of its production. Practical and theoretical issues raised by the works-in-progress and readings will be discussed in class meetings. |

Designing, Creating, and Realizing, Interpretation
This course requires each student to design, create and realize a group choreographic work in dance which is performed at the end of the semester. Critique sessions are held on a regular basis, allowing for ongoing feedback in relation to each individua

Short written assignments, movement projects, final paper, plus the planning and execution of two rehearsals each week throughout the semester. |

DANC105: Dance Production Techniques recommended. This course is not available to sophomores, first-year students, or non-majors. Please contact Professor Susan Lourie for permission to take this course. |
