This is the second part of the two-semester sequence in elementary German (see GRST101). Students will continue their study of the four primary skills, German grammar and culture, increase their ability to read a variety of simple texts, handle everyday conversational situations, and compose original sentences in writing.

Essential Capabilities: Intercultural Literacy, Speaking
Speaking: The course will provide extensive practice in speaking, developing accuracy in pronunciation and grammar and appropriate vocabulary for a wide variety of situations.

Intercultural Literacy: Similarities to and differences from American cultural patterns and modes of expression will be explored. Students' awareness of the relationship between language and thought will be heightened.
