Essential Capabilities:
Intercultural Literacy This course is designed to enhance students' Japanese skills for: -reading texts on cultural issues written for adult learners, -writing cultural analysis essays, -participating in various types of discourse, and -communication with greater fluency, accuracy and grammatical complexity.

Examinations and Assignments: There are frequent homework assignments, which include reading comprehension, essay writing, and conversation project. In addition to weekly quizzes, both midterm and final examinations are given. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Attendance and active participation in every class and weekly TA sessions are required. Students who have not completed JAPN206 at Wesleyan are required to take a placement test. |
