Third-Year Japanese II|
The primary goal of this course is to enable students to acquire Japanese language proficiency through integrating four skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Lessons will cover such topics as Japanese convenience stores, history, traditional craftsmanship, and nature. The class meets three hours per week.

Required work for the course includes frequent homework assignments covering grammar, Kanji, vocabulary exercises, reading comprehension, and essay writing, as well as a conversation project. In addition to weekly quizzes, there are lesson tests and a final examination.

Attendance and active participation in every class and weekly TA sessions are required.
Students who have not taken JAPN217 at Wesleyan are required to take a placement test.
