This laboratory course teaches students how to obtain, process and evaluate data, and compare these data with quantitative models of how our world works.
|Examination and Assignments: |
Regular attendance required. Lab notebooks are reviewed by lab instructor at the end of each weekly lab meeting. A prelab assignment is due at the beginning of each lab session.

While this course is not required by the Physics Department, it is recommended, and students planning to enter the health professions should be aware that a year of physics WITH LABORATORY is usually required for admission. Consult your major advisor if you are in doubt about similar requirements in your field.
PLEASE NOTE: Rising seniors who need the lab should rank it highly to have the best chance of getting a seat. Rising sophomores and juniors who wish to take the lab may need to rank it lower or add it during adjustment period.
