Nabokov and Cultural Synthesis|
COL 265, REES 263, RULE 263|
This course will trace the development of Nabokov's art from its origins in Russian literature by close readings of the motifs that spiral outward through his (principally English-language) novels.
Student class presentations will be prepared in consultation with the instructor, with an emphasis on clarity and concision of oral expression.
Three short papers, which may be rewritten, and one sizable term paper are to be planned in close consultation with the instructor.
