Acting II
THEA 285
Fall 2006
Section: 01
This course may be repeated for credit.

This course is the continuation of THEA 245 Acting I. It presents a further investigation of the elements of acting through intense work on one or two chosen characters, developing three-dimensionality of the part, and performing in a professional-type setting. Students will develop their knowledge of Stanislavski's theatre method and will also become familiar with famous Michael Chekhov's acting technique. This is an advanced acting course in performance format. Students will go through all stages of acting - preparing a monologue, audition process, casting, rehearsing, tech week and performance. Students of the class will work together with Directing II and Lighting Design students. The course culminates in the final presentation of the projects in the '92 Theatre.
