This is course is for students who have taken Beginning Taiko. Acceptance to this class is at the discretion of the instructor. Students will learn more advanced techniques in taiko drumming by learning pieces from the Matsuri and kumi daiko performance repertoires.

Students are expected to show a strong grasp on the repertoire- demonstrate considerable efforts in increasing physical strength, flexibility and stamina as assigned by the instructor. Attendance to all classes and one hour weekly TA sessions is mandatory. There will be a performance at the end of the semester.

Prerequisites: [MUSC416 or CEAS416] or [MUSC418 or CEAS418] or prior experience.
Interested students should attend the first class for audition.
Undergraduates may take this course up to two times for a letter grade and up to four times for credit towards graduation.
Students are required to participate in one 2 hour TA session per week and are required to participate in the final concert.
