This course will deal with development of the central nervous system in vertebrates and invertebrates. The course will highlight recent achievements in understanding neural development at the molecular, cellular, and systems levels. Specific examples will be taken from research on sensory systems. |

If student has not had a course in neurobiology or developmental biology, he/she should consult with instructor before enrolling. Ideally, this class should be taken after one year of Introductory Biology and BIOL/NS&B 213. |
