This class will focus on the process of making a dance. Skills in movement observation and creative decision making will be developed with regard to all the necessary technical aspects of its production. Practical and theoretical issues raised by the works-in-progress and readings will be discussed in class meetings.

Essential Capabilities: Designing, Creating, and Realizing, Interpretation
This course requires each student to design, create and realize a group choreographic work in dance which is performed at the end of the semester. Critique sessions are held on a regular basis, allowing for ongoing feedback in relation to each individua
