German Culture Today GRST 217 Spring 2010 not offered Readings, class discussion, and written work will be based on current and recent events and developments in Germany. Topics will include the new Europe and the world, Germany as a multicultural society, German pop culture, contemporary culture. The course will provide extensive practice in speaking and writing, using structured conversation, debates, analysis of different types of texts--journalistic, rhetorical, poetic, visual, scholarly, etc.--and writing assignments in different genres.
