Advanced Seminar in German Literature

This course offers German majors and other interested students an opportunity to explore a significant topic in German literature within a chronological context. The topic for 2009 is the individual in the family and society.

Essential Capabilities: Interpretation, Writing
Writing: Weekly assignments will enable students to develop a range of voices while consolidating their mastery of grammar and vocabulary.

Interpretation: By studying works in a variety of genres, students will acquire a critical vocabulary and the ability to approach texts from a number of analytical vantage points.
