This course is the second half of our two-semester elementary sequence (101 and 102). Our emphasis is on the development and refinement of basic oral and written competence and reading and aural comprehension skills. Students are guided through a variety of communcative activities in class which lead from structured to free expression. Written and oral assignments provide structured practice of linguistic forms, while also challenging the student's creative skills. Class will be conducted entirely in Italian. The class meets MWF with instructor, once with course assistant (either Tue or Thur) for drill and conversation. Days and times for CA sessions will be announced first week of class. |
