Topics in 20th Century Italian Literature and Culture

This course is designed ideally for students who have spent at least one semester of study in Italy. We will examine a variety of cultural documents that date from the beginning of the 20th century and range until its end. Some of the literary and socio-cultural phenomena we will study include: futurism, fascism, neorealism, modernism, post-modernism, and the literary "cannibalism" of the 1990's.
