This choral ensemble welcomes members of both Wesleyan and Middletown communities and is devoted to performance of standard choral literature from all eras, both accompanied and a cappella. Solo and leadership opportunities will be available for advanced singers. |

Examinations and Assignments: Midterm Concert--Sunday, October 18th, 3:00pm, Crowell Hall; Dress Rehearsal -- at noon; PROGRAM-- TBA Final Concert--Saturday, December 5th, 7:00pm, Crowell Hall; Dress Rehearsal -- at 4:00pm; PROGRAM-- TBA Individual part knowledge quizzes will be administered before each performance. Students are expected to practice on their own. Online practice tracks will be available on MOODLE. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Students who are taking advantage of pre-registration are required to contact the instructor to arrange an interview/audition meeting as soon as they register for the class. Only returning ensemble members may pre-register without an interview/audition.
Auditions are mandatory for all incoming members (NEW to the ensembles), as well as for former participants who took the previous semester off (for any reason).
Requirements: - a prepared song that will best showcase your singing skills (accompaniment is not required); - you will be asked to sing an elementary level sight-reading/note recognition excerpt at the time of your audition.

In case none of the times available work for you, please make an individual appointment with the conductor (email preferred) for a later date. All auditions must be completed by the end of the drop-add period.
This course may be may be repeated. Undergraduates may take this course up to two times for a letter grade and up to four times for credit towards graduation. |
