|Course Cluster: Jewish and Israel Studies|
This course intends to put students in conversation with many classical sources of philosophy, narrative, scriptural exegesis, liturgy, law, and mysticism from the Jewish tradition. The social circumstances of the Jews who produce these works, as well as the ways these texts have shaped a variety of Jewish social identities and differing Judaisms, will be explored using the tools of the human and social sciences.
