Lighting Design for the Theater

This course explores both the design and technical aspects of lighting design, as well as the role of the lighting designer in a production. Practical experience is an important part of the course work.

Essential Capabilities: Designing, Creating, and Realizing, Interpretation
The course requires the creation of qualitative responses to written texts in the form of realized and theoretical designs using the medium of light within the context of a theatrical environment.
