Econometrics is the study of statistical techniques for analyzing economic data. This course reviews multiple regression and develops several more advanced estimation techniques. Students work on individual research projects and learn to use econometric software.

Wooldridge, Introductory Econometrics (required; most recent edition), and Kennedy, A Guide to Econometrics (optional; a relatively recent edition). Additional short items will be handed out occasionally.

Weekly assignments, 2 exams, and a research project.

Students will use the statistical computer program Stata.
PLEASE NOTE: Only graded courses can satisfy the requirements for the data analysis minor and the applied data science certificate. Courses completed with a CR/U grading mode will not satisfy the requirements of the two programs.
