This course offers students who have some knowledge of Korean a chance to continue with the study of the language at the intermediate level. Students must have a grasp of elementary grammar, pronunciation, and the Korean writing system to enroll in this class, either by having taken Elementary and first-semester Intermediate Korean at Wesleyan or through an equivalent experience.

Essential Capabilities: Intercultural Literacy
This course will focus on developing proficiency in Korean by addressing all skills of language learning: reading, listening, reading and writing. Throughout class activities, assignments and with the use of authentic materials, students will gain an understanding of new cultural concepts and values which will help them develop intercultural literacy.
