Forensic Geology

This course is designed for science non-majors and majors and will introduce the student to the use of geological materials and techniques in solving crime. Details from actual criminal cases will be used as examples in all the topics covered. The geologic subjects and techniques will be treated from a forensic viewpoint. The overall objective of this course is to give the student knowledge about the applications of geology and geochemistry in forensic investigation and to develop critical thinking skills.
