This course is designed to allow students to conduct supervised research in the area of the cognitive psychology of reasoning and decision making. Working as a team with the instructor and other members of the research group, students will undertake a semester-long experimental research project on a topic in reasoning and decision making. |

Major Readings:
Reading lists will be designed for each project. Students will read background chapters and recent journal articles over the course of hte term.

Examinations and Assignments: Drafts of sections of a research report will be completed throughout the term. A final version of the entire research project in journal-article format will be due at the end of the term. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: The class will meet in a weekly seminar to read and discuss research articles, to formulate plans for studies, and to provide updates on experiments being conducted by members of the group.
Permission will be given to students who meet prerequisites and are able to demonstrate strong interest in topic. See instructor for further details. |
