This course provides an intense review of elementary Spanish to allow students to advance to the intermediate level. Emphasis is placed on the four basic skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Attention is also given to cultural issues concerning the Spanish-speaking world. |
Essential Capabilities:
Intercultural Literacy, Speaking This course offers constant opportunities to develop the ability to speak Spanish in a variety of meaningful contexts. Students will compare cultural practices, products, and values in the Spanish-speaking world with those in their own culture.

Additional Requirements and/or Comments: SPAN103 is intended for students with prior experience in Spanish who have scored out of SPAN101 and close to SPAN111, according to Wesleyan Online Spanish Placement Test. Otherwise, students must consult with instructor before pre-registering. Enrollment for Juniors and Seniors is contingent upon space availability during drop/add. |
