|Course Cluster: Health Studies|
This laboratory course, to be taken concurrently with MB&B181 or BIOL181, provides direct experience with techniques used in cell biology and molecular biology. These include polymerase chain reaction (PCR), electrophoresis, enzyme assays, microscopy, and spectrophotometry. The lab course is a chance to learn these key techniques firsthand.

MB&B191 is usually taken concurrently with MB&B181; however, students must sign up for MB&B191 and MB&B181 separately.
The course is graded on a Credit/Unsatisfactory basis for all students. To receive credit for the course, students must complete all lab exercises and written assignments at a satisfactory level.
