Senior Seminar for Civic Engagement Certificate|
|Certificates: Civic Engagement|
In this partial-credit seminar, the candidates for the Civic Engagement Certificate will acquaint each other with their particular interests in and commitments to civic engagement. Under close faculty supervision, the participants will organize the course as a collaborative undertaking. Meeting bi-weekly, they will revisit the readings from the Foundations of Civic Engagement (CSPL201) course, discussing them in light of their subsequent course work and practical experiences in engagement. At the end of the semester, each student will make a formal presentation to the group, the faculty sponsors of the certificate, and invited guests.
